so i got some REALLY good pictures of midnight and me riding today! yay! and i did some jumping... if you feel the need to critique on the flat, go ahead, but the jumping ones are almost useless to critique on, becuase we havn't really trained at all for it, but she was really calm about it, which is what i'm mainly happy about! yay i'm mainly posting the jumping ones to show you guys, cuz it was fun hahaha enjoy oh ya, and i'm riding in my CC, but i'm thinking i want to get midnight a dressage saddle.. so ya. i'm riding dressage in my cc, and it looks awkward and wierd because of the forward flaps, but its not that bad. a dressage saddle would be easier -i LOVE this one!! -just for fun she's ALMOST square hahaha -more standing.. -i love this one also she's a tad behind the vertical, i think, but she's trying, and tahts what is important she's gotten WAY better jumping time i hope you enjoyed these

CUTE! I love midnight. You two are so cute together I'd reccomend shortening your stirrups quite a bit and see how that feels.

thanks, rebecca midnights a ton of fun my stirrups are my dressage length. i was going to change them for jumping, but my friend who is good was juts like, eh. the jump isn't that big, so i was like.. ok and i can stand up in the length.. it wasn't that difficult, but i can see having shorter stirrups being easier hahah

the only time i put midnight in a western saddle is if i bring friends to ride who aren't comfortable in an english saddle hahaha. and if thats the case, i ride aries bareback. he does SO good on trails! if i ask him to move up to faster pace, he does so pretty much right away. if i ask him to slow down, he does every time, with hardly any pressure! we're still working on moving away from leg pressure, but he turns too hahaha. he's so good ;D and he lunges beautifully

The only thing I see is that shes getting close to being behind the verticle WHICH IS BADDD and almost impossiible to fix...and jumping i know no critiques one thing your hand are floating above her neck press your hands into the sides of her neck..I know some of the hunters girls in the pictures perch but thats just ugla and wrong...also why don't you want her to park out...TWH's are made to park out..Joc used to look awkward when I wouldn't let him park out...

i wasn't try to not park her out.. haha. i was actually justu trying to get her to lower her head while standing haha. and she ended up almost square. hahah thanks for the tip on jumping too and i know BTV is bad :S sometimes you don't realize what your horse is doing until you see pictures of it. :S butt.. it does make for a pretty picture hahaha. even though it is bad. now that shes getting the hang of lowering her head, i need to push her into the contact more, and she should put her head right once shes using herself properly

Most do it natually try in the ground first they really do look stunning parked out...I was having some miss the good ol days and rode aside on DarkStar needless to say she was unhappy about collecting her trot as she is no gaited beast lol...

hahah, cute i think i should try it with her.. i don't really do any games with her.. or tricks.. shes too stubborn hahah. i should try one of these days. TWH's are gorgeous parked out.. they've got the thicker body which i think looks really good parked out. at least midnight has a thicker body hahah
