geez, I have no idea where my heel went. It's still on vacation I think I may have been in the process of digging my somewhat large spurs into his sides! And I agree, I need to sit up because those stops do sometimes take me by suprise (although he hasn't gotten me off yet)

yeah um like no offence but the camera doesnt lie, so if you bent your elbows then how come in none of the pics your elbows are bent? I dont want to cause an agument but it doesnt really make sense

yeah um like no offence but the camera doesnt lie, so if you bent your elbows then how come in none of the pics your elbows are bent? I dont want to cause an agument but it doesnt really make sense ohh trust me, i do. In the first picture of me I was getting ahead of myself and not waiting for my horse to close my hip angle, so I was going forward into a release..another bad habit but has been broken now that hes been stopping lately The second picture im opening my inside hand and bending it around to my thigh, therefor my elbow wasn't bent. the third picture i was just halted and my elbows are bent and the last picture i was giving him his head becase i'd gottan him behind the verticle Not excuses, it's the truth. My horse is in training, I use my hands a lot in different positions so most of the pictures my hands are in or transitioning from a "training" position. I made the comment about my elbows not being bent because i was aware of the fact and didn't need to hear comments about it. There is a reason as said above, but origionaly i didnt want to write a book about why my elbows werent bent. mmmk? thanks. And Gaby, I keep him at Cedar Hill Farm in Sanford/Springvale, it's the dressage train jennifer wilson-horr's place. I love it =] And Nina you said that before and now i really think about sitting up before the fences! Hahah If im cantering, I'll sit back and canter in full seat and if i trot ill do a sittingg trot..so i hope i have improved on that =] I'll get new jumping pics sometime and you can be the judge of that..

I think that we all need to sit down and have a talk.
Go to the thread of Rebecca at a show and see that her arms are fine.
And honestly, everything that you said to back up your elbows in your pics, I thought thats what you were doing before I read them.

haha thanks lindsay. And jettrox, i dont mean to come across as mean, and i dont know if you've ever worked with an ottb or a green horse, but if you have you would know that you have to ride them differently than a made horse. Yes, perfect practice makes perfect, but there are deffinately exceptions.

no, I have ridden ottb and green horses, and I know you may ride them different, I was just wondering. I didnt want to sound mean ethier lol, nice response btw. Nice explanations you should be a trainer, I love giving people lessons its nice to see them improve. I have an ottb and he is working advanced dressage and I fully agree that different hand positions etc. Often you have to be extreme to get through. I think you are doing a great job.
