it's not unnecessary, it's true.

Its damn rude she asked for advice not bloody abuse. You could have said something like maybe a different horse wod be more suited or perhaps this isnt the horse for you. Although I think wid alot of hard work she could sort this horse out but thats my opioion. I was green (as you put it) when I bought my green as grass mare but now she is an angel and sure its taken 3 nearly 4 years but we have got there and thats what counts.

^well not EVERY horse is like that horse. no horses are the same. I've known horses that have been to tons of different trainers and no one can tame this one particular horse!!! So by you saying that, are you implying you could come train this horse? No!! id bet my life you couldnt...i bet my life you couldnt even get near this horse!! See not ALL horses are the same, not ALL horses are gonna turn into Angels in 4 years. This horse is 19 years old and is still a nutcase!!!! im not asying her horse is like this one im talking about...but ur implying its SIMPLE to train a horse...and i HIGHLY doubt you did that all by yourself. Its NOT rude thing to say...she is green! hell, im green...everyone of us is "green" and need help. so either she gets someone to help her or she gest rid of the horse. thats my take on it.
its not rude, so dont take it rude...i wouldnt take it offensivley if someone told me i was green so calm down.

If I put a 10 year old rider on Levi, I'd be asking for a lawsuit. Green + Green = Black and Blue, and its true Notice how its taken you 4 years. May have taken less with a more experienced rider. Many people dont have the patience that you have either.

Let me correct my self cuz i sounded mean there: we are technically "green" and not qualified to "train a horse" becuz we are selves are still learning. HOWEVER!!!! we do have some EXCELLENT riders here, but they too are still learning. thats what i meant

if you want to catch him, you might actually want to corner him, try and herd him into a smaller pasture or a round pen or something small. Make him run his ass off until he realizes it's probably alot safer being with you. thats how i got my horse to come to me. she did the same thing as he did.

honestly it isnt something people should get upset about its a fact.. when i was ten years old and i got my first pony misty, i loved her but she WAS WAYYYYYYYYYY too much for me.. and the more i didnt accept it, the worse it got.. to the point it was dangerous.. she was vicious to people and other horses and it wasnt my fault. i just wasnt qualified enough at the time to handle her.. they arent trying to hurt your feelings by saying your green we're just stating a fact that will save you a lot of time and/or money.. i learned from my mistakes and thank god i wasnt very attached to her but i got a great pony after that who was perfect for me and my ability at the time.. try to get something to build confidence on and something that you can learn with.. trust me its worth it.. get a trainer or sell him.. don't try to handle a horse when you don't know exactly what to do.. its nothing against anyone it will just create more problems.. if you are attached to him already though, get a trainer and try.. don't give up quick but if you try to handle this all yourself.. its not going to go over well.. good luck.

Like Elise, I bought a pony when I was younger that I just didn't get along with and I was NOT patient enough to deal with her nonsence. If i owned the pony now, yeah, I could probably deal with her, but then it just wasn't worth it. So I sold her and leased a few packers until I found something more suitable. It's nothing to be ashamed of. With horses, it's so easy to get in over your head.

with the catching i would suggest driving him away from you, if he doesn't want to be near you don't let him, but don't let him stop either he'll soon realise he is better with you then he is running away. it will take alot to get him to where you probably want him to be, and if you are willing to put in the effort and have the patience good luck, but otherwise i would suggest selling him on and buying something a little less green. Best of luck

I was jus about to say the same as Jess, ooo jess's think alike. I carnt put what i wanted to put becuase of that haha.
and Laura there right, it was the same with Millie and Me. they told me that and although i didnt take it very well (Sorry guys :S) i still took there advice and came on, green and green doesnt go. I know from past experiances and Friends. Sometimes not even Experianced horse and green riders go very well. but like Jennaj said there are some really good riders here that know exactly what there on about.
