Hello, everyone!
My name is Sabriel and I am eighteen years old. I currently attend Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. I'm a freshman Missionary Avaition major. When I'm not at school, I live in the lower part of SC. I have two horses named Lady and Meg. Lady was a rescue horse who was starved and all skin and bones when we first got her. She's nineteen now and still kicking. I've had Meg since she was three months old (but I knew her from the time of her birth) and she turns four in March.
That's all I can think of now!

Welcome! I have friends at Bob Jones. I live in the upper part of SC. Welcome to the board! What town? I'm a freshman this year, so I'm just getting to know people on campus. I like BJU alright. Some of the rules are retarded, but I can live with them. I've survived one semester and it's not all that bad. Thanks for all the welcomes!

The skirt rule is okay. You get used to just putting a skirt on every morning. I'm just glad that they got rid of the panty-hose rule. I would die if I had to wear panty-hose every day.
As for the music, to tell you the truth, I don't stick to that rule a hundred percent. When I'm in my bed at night I pull out my MP3 player and listen to my music. Relient K, Switchfoot, Exit East . . . they all help me get through the next day.
For movies, I just watch whatever I want when I'm at home. I basically throw all the rules out the window once I leave campus for the occasional weekend or a break.
That's prettu much how I survive here, haha!

welcome!
ha i've never even heard of that college...ha. is it a christian school or something?
anywaysssss.....I'm Shawna, I don't have a horse, but i have been riding my trainers Paint Mare for the last 4 years. Her name is Windy, and when she wasn't chronically lame, and wen i was out there a whole lot more we were doing jumpers primarily and we got to jumping as high is about 2'6 or 2'9 ish. She is hurt now, and i was having some issues with my trainer, so i don't ride as much anymore, but i still go out and see her a lot.
well, yeah that's it.

When I went for the high school festival a couple years ago, they had gotten rid of the hose rule. That definitely made me happy!! And I'd break the music rule too. lol. Aren't you technically supposed to follow the rules even on breaks? I definitely wouldn't, because I'd be at home & would follow the rules of my house, but I thought I heard that somewhere.

Yes, you're supposed to follow the rules on breaks, but screw that! I'm at home! I will follow whatever rules my parents have for me, but I will not follow the stupid rules they have here. I can guarantee that my "Christian testimony" will not be harmed by going to see a PG-13 movie (though I do see movies that are higher rated than that), listening to Christian rock, or wearing jeans.
I can stand the rules, but only to a point. What I do at home is my business and nobody else's.
And yes, it is a Christian school. It's rather well-known in the Christian circles and even some of the secular circles (but for different reasons, haha).
