yes! I've been putting black oil sunflower seeds in her food, maybe not enough. I'll give it some more time, and she keeps getting her sun sheet off

She's cute!
In addition to the sunflower seeds and/or supplements, have you tried keeping her in during the day and turning her out at night?

Wow, she's attractive! She'd make a cute little hunter might I add =). Tell me if you're selling her. Haha.
Anyway, turning out with a fly sheet will help. And using color enhancing shampoos help too.. DO NOT USE THE RIO VISTA, it ENCOURAGES the red color, so dont use the Rio Vista. I'm going to try this Black Horse Henna stuff and I'll telly ou if it works.

the way you can tell if a horse is truely black though is if they're muzzle stays black, and doesn't also go brown.. at least, thats what i've read somewhere

the way you can tell if a horse is truely black though is if they're muzzle stays black, and doesn't also go brown.. at least, thats what i've read somewhere i was JUST about to say that!!! if they are a TRUE black, their muzzles will stay black...if the muzzle sun bleaches along with the body then the technical term is "black bay"...not quite a black, but certainly darker than a bay....thats what breeze is
