Ohh I loooove eventing. I've done both hunters and jumpers in the past and eventing is my true love. There is really so much to it. And you can't beat and exhilarating XC run on a bold, confident horse. It is amazing. You should try it... What was David O Conner like? I have not seen him teach.

I am hoping my current horse will show me how much fun cross country can be again! He's an ex-eventer, he's done 3 day events, like Blenheim etc [dunno if you've heard of Blenheim] and he's been on the British eventing team and stuff, so he's done quite a high level eventing... hopefully he will get me back into eventing!! Anyway i love your horse!! The last pic [the cross country one] is awsome! Hope to see pics if you get to go in Jan Steph x

What was David O Conner like? I have not seen him teach. He was actually VERY good. He was getting a bit frustrated because this girl who couldn't ride for shit was in the clinic, and she was not listening to anything he said and kept running her horse around the ring. Her heels weren't even down, and she looked like a rag doll over the jumps. He explains everything well, and I really liked him. Jay- He didn't do that. But he rode his horse, and his student rode another one of his horses, and they jumped bridle-less, doing lines, jumping a corner, and such. Them they had a line set up that was a nice 6 stride line. Well, they had their own little "competition" and him and his student were seeing how many strides they could fit in it. They made it up to 11 strides in this 6 stride line. It was crazyyyyy. Like I've heard of shortening for a 7, or pushing for a 5, but shortening for an 11?! It was sick. I have a video of it, I'll put it up.... once I find my camera..

That's awesome your horse has been there done that. I bet he is a lot of fun to ride. Maybe you will event again oneday... The worst fall I ever had was back when I rode pony hunters! They can be nasty little devils! I will post pictures, I will definately compete him again in the spring and probably move him up.
