At the tack shop the other day, I came across a pair of open front boots that I've ever seen before. I picked them up and INSTANTLY fell in love. I put my hand inside the boot and pressed down and the inside instantly molded to my fingers. I was amazed. They are like memory foam. This is so good for the protection of the horse. At the tack shop they were $135 and I saw them in Dover for $90 and well worth it. As soon as I scrape up $90 I'm buying these. They have them in black & leather. Just thought that I'd spread the word to those who care =) I'd recommend them over the Eskadrons, and they're cheaper which is always a plus. www.doversaddlery.com/t-boots-open-front-boots/p/X1-04326/cn/119/

ok, question. whats the point of using open front boots? like.. do you use them for jumping mainly, or just overall riding stuff to protect their legs from the little things?

they protect legs from knicks and provide support and open fronts are open so if the horse knocks a rail in jumping they can still feel it and are more carefull, because sometimes if they have full boots on and they knock a rail its a muffled feeling so they may not pick up their feet next time either
