My first day of workkkk

So work yesterday was awesome. It was a slow day because 7 horses were at a show. But its fun & easy. Basically I turn horses out, feed them, groom them & tack them for their owners, and clean tack when the riders get off their horses. Its a full service barn, so I do the full service part. I like it a lot. I started at 6 yesterday and ended at 4, but the day went fast and the main groom, Bailey is awesome. And she knows someone who I knew when I was younger when she was at my barn. THe only thing that sucks is that the grass turnout is no joke a half a mile from the barn, so for a round trip (bringing a horse up and walking back down) is 1 mile. And we have to do that for every horse. My feet hurt by the end of the day cause I didnt have my heel cups in. Whoops. =) But its not THAT bad, and its a workout!

Its so funny because EVERY saddle that the owners have is either a Butet or an Antares. I'm officially getting a butet after dealing with 10 of them yesterday. Lol. No more tad coffin, its $700 cheaper too! Haha, so my goal is to have enough money by the end of the summer to buy a new butet.

So I pretty much love my new work. =)

NO!!! Don't get a Butet they sit u forward in the saddle and the leather is sooo soft that the lether breaks down really fast besides it looks like a pumpkin until u oil it 20 times, Get the LTD2 hmm I love my saddle the leather is soft and gorgeous after an oiling it look even gorgeouser. It's also slightly cheaper..also Antares are fun as well lol..

i LOVEEEEEEEEEE the butet. SUch a nice saddle, and if you heat up the oil it gets dark in lik 2 oils. ahaha lindsay if you think POST is a long walk from paddock to abrn...try going to old westbury. the hike is REDICULOUS. i have friends who ride there and whenever i go..OMG longest walksss

Have you ridden in a butet? I LOVED them until I rode in one. Also, I've heard they don't fit many horses.. I dont like Tads either. I do loveeeee Antares though. I'm not sure what the new CWDs are like, but I've ridden in a few older ones and loved it.

I just read your thread on COTH..congrats on saving that much money! I'm a few grand off =[
I highly reccomend Antares (as does the rest of COTH). I've been emailing them and talking to them and they have great customer service. They emailed me back with the answers to my questions within 15 minutes =D

Its really good your liking it! I start at 8am and work till 4pm. I thought that was bad, but 6.. that would be rough. It sucks that the turn out is so far away! My feet always hurt after a day at work. Walking all the time..
