So today my tonsilltis infections were good, so my grandma took me out for a sundae and to look for local barns. It was rainy and I didn't want to be rude and go up to a barn impromptu so I just got names and numbers, but there are 2 barns that offer lessons and boarding. From the outside, they look pretty nice too, although I havn't seen the horses or the interior yet.
My mum and me discussed something today though...it would take me a few months to earn the money for my horse if I simply save, but she said if I found a horse before I had the money and I had a good job, I could borrow the money from my grandma and give her payments until the horse was paid for. :]

thanks...yeah i've pretty much put off buying for another 2-3 months. i thought really hard about what i want to do, which is jumping, and i know i havn't ridden alot lately so i figured it would be better to ride at my old barn brushing up some before i buy a horse. its a mess though, because i hate my old trainer and so does my mom. she is really irresponsible with the horses and her business with people. i mean, she GAVE AWAY things that belonged to me and bought my old saddle i grew out of and still hasn't paid in full. but she doesn't offer lessons anymore, just horse "rentals" which means i'd be on my own. :/ pretty gay, unless i change barns and around my area we have a western barn and an english barn, one of which i'm looking at today. my mom thinks even though i ride english now i should go to the western barn because the english barn she feels like is too snobby about riding. but i think i'd benefit from going somewhere where i could get the most attention geared to my particular style of riding. but then again, its frusterating when people are jerks to you, of course i don't know they are snobby yet.
but i made my own self some lesson plans out for the next few weeks. it would be so much better with a trainer but what can i do? i made out small jumping courses and some patterns to do on the flat.

yeah i really want to but we can't seem to find a number for it! guess we'll have to just go up there in person. she called the western barn. actually i don't know if it's western, but i've got a good idea it is. i guess i'm being judgmental though, but they've got cows in the front pasture when i rode by. it's called sandy ridge stables. the english barn, and i'm SURE they do english because for one their sign has a horse jumping on it and they get stuff in the paper about them all the time for shows. they've really got a nice reputation and that's why i wanted to go see them so much. sandy ridge is pretty new though so i feel like i ought to give it a chance.
