i'm sure some of you must remember my old "trainer" who is basically a complete joke. i know more about proper horse care than she does, in all seriousness. i mean, the woman bought an untrained 5 year old for her 6 year old daughter! and she took a half-broke very skittish 3 year old to ride on the sand dunes around the lakes where people ride 4 wheelers!
well, so when i sold belle i had gotten out of western riding about that time. i bought a supposed all purpose english saddle that ended up being a dressage saddle when it arrived as i bought it on ebay. so i sold both saddles and belle when i went to public school. but i didn't sell any of my grooming equipment or anything from my tack box. know what my trainer thinks would be a smart idea? i asked her last time i was out "where is my tack box?" she says, "oh i didn't know if you were coming back so i gave it to jennifer."
wtf?! number one, that's not her property to give away! that's mine. number two, could you at least call and ask if it's okay to give my stuff away? i mean that's absurd, of course i wouldn't give away hundreds of dollars worth of equipment that i could very well use or sell if i wasn't riding anymore!
we've been trying to get up with her all week to arrange me riding for a while tomorrow. but she won't pick up or call us back! its been all week! i'm just so pissed off that i have to basically start from scratch buying the basics again that i shouldn't even have to buy for a horse! i already bought most of my tack, except girths and bits that have to be fitted, but i bought a tack set that's guaranteed to fit all normal riding horses and it's refundable. i guess i'm going about things backwards, buying stuff for a horse that i don't have yet, but i'll use these things for other horses too though, because i hate borrorwing tack and stuff. so yeahh. i'm lucky mom is so supportive of my riding and is paying for my lessons, otherwise i'd never be able to buy all this stuff!
i'm so sick of my barn i could scream. it was worse boarding a horse there too. i'm glad i've got more options now. sandy ridge i think is more of a western barn but i'm going to see it anyway. it's new. steadfast stables has an excellent reputation around town and else where. they do alot of 3-day eventing, shows and such. i just had to let that out. i've just been thinking on it alot today and i have to go out there tomorrow and i'm also buying alot of new stuff like lounge lines, brushes and all that shit. i'm just so pissed that i lost so much money. and she bought my old western saddle and STILL hasn't paid me all she owes.
whoever actually read that whole thing gets some of my birthday cake tomorrow haha.
