We jumped 1ft guys! I know that doesn't sound like much because most of ya'll are jumping at least 3 feet, but you all know Dustin. haha. I know it's not a smart idea to jump a horse who isn't trained to jump, but there was a crossrail (made out of the 2ft standards, so where the x was, was probably about 1ft) and I had been working on a lot of pattern stuff with Dustin and thought I'd change the pace. We've done some really small stuff before, like cavaletti-height crossrails, and I thought 'Hmm, we'll try it." He did a good job! It was so much fun. I think he liked it, too He'd be an awesome all-around horse. He's coming along well in his saddleseat stuff, a lady is working with him on neck reining and western, and lately I've been adding things like patterns, pole bending, and the flag race. He seems to enjoy the change of pace. So yeah. That kind of made my day so far; jumping 1 ft (Yes I realize it's short). After we jumped it I praised Dustin and turned him around, and he just stared at it like "Whoa, I jumped that? It's huge! But it was fun." Dork.
