Sooooo, you all know how a few years ago I was trying to break Flirty to ride, right? And how she was a freakin rodeo bronc? Well....that was probably 2 or 3 years ago, and we brought her home and gave her time to just grow up, and we've just started tinkering with her again. I've been lounging her a little bit here and there, throwing the saddle on her and just taking her for walks, that sort of thing. The other night though my mom was brushing her and grabbed a step stool and we just worked on stepping up and down on that, because back at the trainer's Flirt FREAKED about that, and she was calm as could be! So my mom just laid across her back and all, and Flirt still didn't mind! So yeah....we're going to start her back up again I think and see what happens. Maybe I'll have a new riding horse soon!!!! ;D

Thats great! Its good that shes coming around and being more calm with you guys. I dont know if I remember her having those problems. I just thought she was too young to ride.

Awesome, Steph!! I remember when you had trouble with her before, so it's great that she's doing well for you. Good luck!

LOl no Brooke, she is plenty old to ride, she's 6! Just a very immature 6 year old, lol.

ooooo, good luck!! some horses just need that time to grow up. and now she'll be more mentally mature AND she's physically mature now, at age 6. or at least should be. so you have less to worry about hahahaha have fun ;D
