I don't have open fronts for Sonny. I was actually planning on getting some, but I talked to my trainer, and she said he really doesn't need them.. He doesn't hit himself too often and she said he's not like a fragile lil TB or anything (He's a paint) so he's really okay without them. So I was like well, why waste the money if my trainer doesn't see the need for them, lol. But, when I thought I was going to get a pair, I asked a bunch of people the same question. I've heard these www.smartpakequine.com/ProductClass.aspx?productclassid=2358&cmPreserveSource=true&cmPreserveCategory=true are good.. I know Linds uses them, and a couple of my friends use them, also.

Thanks Jessi, ya the horse I am probably going to lease is a paint as well, Its not absolutly necessary for him but hes still really green so even though he doesnt hit himself ya never know when he might misstep cuz he doesnt always know where to put his feet.

EQUI-FIT T-FOAM. 1235851379893763684906635-%
They're the best things ever. I just ordered the polo wraps from them too. They're amazing. And if you dont get those, honestly get the Roma Gel ones over the Eskadron (non gel-tech ones). I have Roma Gel ankle boots and they;re 100x better and more comfortable than the eskadrons.
They're a splurge, but for the horses legs, you want the best thing possible, and these are awesome. Just when you put on the boots, DO NOT criss cross them. I recently read a study online about that, and it pulls on the tendons and bones and its NOT good for their legs, so only go straight across.
They wash up nicely too =)

THANKS A BILLION Lindsay... I love the Tfoam but I am leaning toward the Roma Gels to start, and they aren't that pricey, should I get open fronts and ankle boots or just fronts?

I would go for tboots or eskies. eskies are great because they are super durable, just throw them in the washe and dryer and they last forever..

Only use them when you are jumping and no longer than you have to as they are bad for tendons etc. Also, someone said about their horse not needing them because its not a fragile tb or anything... Doesnt matter what breed it is open front protect their tendons from the hind legs coming on top of them, which any horse can suffer from, not just "fragile: horses. When I jumped I loved eskadron and veredus, they are probally the most expensive but worth it.

Only use them when you are jumping and no longer than you have to as they are bad for tendons etc. This is not true. When put on incorrectly they can do some harm over time, but when put on correctly they won't cause any problems.
