so its been forever since i last posted on this site..soo much has happened. so anyways where to start. first i took norman to the show HITS up in saugherties new york. the first 3 days he was UNCONTROLABLE. i mean rearing spinning bucking taking off just wild. so i was pissed..and then on top of that i found out he was absolutely PYSCHO because the grooms never lunged him. well norman is the type of horse that NEEDS to be lunged at shows cause he just gets to excited..and a horse of his size can get PRETTTTTTTTTTTTTY dangerous. so anyways i did a few 2'9 classes and a few 3 ft. well we got a 6th and then another 6th and a 3rd nd fifth. all and all he was good. until it came to the second day of showing [ it was like a week long show] and my horse came out completely DEAD lame. well norman is the type of horse that will completely fake being lame on the flat..and when you point him at a jump or put him in the show ring hes perfectly sound. so my trainer put me in a 2'9 class which is a breeze for my horse to see howd it go. well he missed his changes and stopped and i fell off. so my horse was off for a while..and we got his hocks and stifles injected and some acupuncture and now hes good as new. i showed him again last week and we won the first class which i used as my warmup and got a 1sst, 3rd, and 2nd in my mini which is 3 foot classes. and then i had to fill the bigeq which is 3'6 and we got a 3rd and my horse was AMAZING =] soo thats my norman update

sooooooooooooo I GOT A PUPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPY. hes a german shepherd...and hes not 14 weeks old. his name is chevy and hes already 35 pounds. the vet said he should be around 110 pounds fully grown.

oh an update on me..well this is pretty pointless but i lost 10 pounds!! haha

in the video you and norm look pretty bored with that height =P regardless, it was a great trip!
Bummer about him being so wild, but you guys made a pretty good comeback.
Were the classes pretty big at HITS?
Also, great eq! You have an awsome upper body over fences with a nice leg and a good release.
It's nice to see people not jumping up the horses neck, or throwing the reins away over not-massive fences.
I love your horse, he is so big..

THANKS SO MUCH! uhm the classes at hits were about like 3 people or so. Anyways nah im not qualified for anything because i didnt do that many shows becuase norman was a bit out of my price range and so were kinda still paying him off. but also cause were traveling a lot next year for the open eq..which is 3.6 so were kinda saving his jumps for then becuase hes 13 and as much as that isnt old he did the 4.6 and so he has a bit of wear and tear on him. but thanksss so much im trying to perfect my eq

^^I know what you mean about saving their jumps..with emma i only have o/f lessons overy other week and only showed enough to qualify..then didnt jump her until a few weeks before finals..she was 18 and didnt need the schooling. it wasnt worth it.
