My saddle is a piece of shit that wasn't worth buying at all (not to mention it's all purpose).. but at my old barn, they decided to rip me off like crazy. and I guess it was okay for a beginning saddle to ride around in sometimes. But, now that I'm leasing and riding 3+ times a week, I'm realizing how shitty it is. The leather is crappy, and there are some cracks on the seat. But the main thing that pisses me off to no end is that the flaps have huge rubs on them from my leg. I tried getting it off with leather therapy, but it didn't work.. I mean, I only did it once (today) and it came off a tinyyyy bit, but that's it. Do you guys have any suggestions for getting it out? I really want to go buy a new saddle, but first I have to sell this one (I'm thinking I could do it on e-bay or something? I think I could sell it for about 300).. but like, I don't think anyone's gunna want it with rubs on the flaps.
Like the saddle isn't HORRIBLE, but it's no where near good.. it doesn't even have a brand lol.
Anyway, second question: What affordable close contact saddles would you guys suggest? I can't spend crazy amounts of money, but I want a saddle that will last, and work well for both Sonny and I.
Edited to add: what do you guys think of the HDR Close Contact Advantage Saddle?

HDR and dover circuit are deffinately your best options if you are going new, but I would reccomend finding something used. Older pessoas that were made in england are great, as are some of the older collegiates. Again, HDR and dover circuit are great for the price, but you will find a nicer saddle if you look used.

idkk what to do about the leg rubs either.. i would say probably a dover saddle or something..but over the course of like a year i had a crosby centennial and a county. the crosby wasnt that expensive, and the county wasnt that bad either. idkk tho becuase ive never really ridden in a dover or collegiate or any of them. but hey if u want one of my old ones u can try them. haha i just ordered a custom antares and the man is coming on the 27th to take measurements.

Dover CC's are nice fore the price. I LOVE MY BEVAL LTD2 Antares are smokin' as well...
As for the rubs...your not going to get those out. They happen on every saddle, it just depends on the leather quality how they look..mine are barely noticable...
