Right so the other weekend i had a riding lesson as usual but as i have been doing dressage for a while i wanted to do some jumping. So we set out three jumps, one face one way and the other two next to each other in a right angle. We started with a little cross but we were working on my position and not pulling Millie in the mouth etc etc so she made me ride shorter than ever before because i got my balance. And we started from there, she said just go into the jump and don't interfere just point her at it in the position i want to see what she does, and i didn't i went into it and she refused so she said next time use a little leg and Millie went over it, i didn't change my position at all but went into it. She jumped it nicely and we went higher and higher till we were on the second hole from the top in a cross and then went onto the other jumps and did them and they were straights but 2'9 ish. Anyway, as i was going into them i was pulling Millie in the mouth if she went on a wrong stride so she said to throw my hands forward as i would them be giving her the balance when she lads and i wont be hurting her and i will be kind as i am in the position already i don't have to worry about that and just my hands. Anyway i had a great lesson and next time i have a jumping lesson i will get pics.
