So today I went out the barn, I rode Cheyenne and he was being a p.i.t.a. (as usual lately
) but I just worked through it, in the middle of the ride another girl named Holly came, she sat on the fence and we talked while she watched me ride, then this lady named Melissa shows up, shes kind of new to the barn, she just started leasing one of the horses... and shes the kind of person that thinks shes so good to be riding a misbehaving horse but really shes a passenger and hurts the problem, but anyway we were all talking and Melissa had the audacity to tell me that "In my opinion Cheyenne isn't green" (we were just standing talking) and I was fuming inside but didn't say anything but please don't say my horse isn't green if you've never ridden him... but I then finished my ride and the two ladies went and sat at our picnic table,
After I untacked I went and sat down with them, they were just talking, kind of percrastinating on riding and it was nice.... but then Holly goes "I don't really feel like riding today" And Melissa goes "I will ride with you" and I was just kind of like I already rode but I will watch..... AND THEN Holly looks at me and says "You can ride Joe (her 17.3hh tb) if you want" I was just like omg and I was like um "sure" (not completly sure is she had been serious) So she was like ok go tack him up, so I tacked him up (hes freaking huge!! Ive ridden multiple 17hh horses and it becomes no big deal but that extra 3in makes a huge difference!!) and rode him, he was soooo much fun!! For being as big as he is his gaits were not like huge or bouncy, he was just awesome.. And Holly kept going on and on about how hes not an easy horse to ride (she got him for free because he was so crazy when she got him) and she was like you look like a shrimp on him but you look great, she was just complementing me sooo much (which made my day because I really respect her) and then she made my day, she said "If she (meaning Melissa) tried to ride him he would kill her, not because hes mean but ya know" SO it was just sooo amazing!! I love Joe!! And Holly was like " I wouldn't let just anyone ride him, but your a good little rider!" *dies*
So Riding Joe like made my day!
OH and Melissa is looking at two 2yos because she wants to buy a horse of her own I really had to hold back when she said that!
