All right so the other day I was riding in one of paula's (trainer @ my barn) groups.. and we were doing this gymnastic thing that was like 5 bounces in a row, 1 stride to a 2'9 vertical...and I was riding Puck just to get on another horse.. and we were doing well, but after going over the vertical one of the times, we landed funny (barely remember what I did wrong exactly.. it was last week) and my muscles were working to hold me onto the saddle, and instead of staying on, my saddle like threw me off kinda? hard to explain. But anyway, Paula pretty much straight out told me that 3/4 of the reason I fell off was because my saddle was a piece of shit and that if I had a different saddle, I would have stayed on..
soo I talked to Amy (trainer @ my barn that works at a tack shop --- hobby horse for the LIers) and she hooked me up with an amazingg dealll =]
sooooo guess what I got todayyyy? ;D
A NEW SADDLE!!!! shit yesss =] I got a used Collegiate close contact.. not sure on the model, have to check.. but I am fucking in loveeee <3333 =]]] I rode in it as a trial today.. it fit me beautifullyyyyy. My form was a bagillion times better than it was in my old saddle, and it fit me a LOT better. Plus, the leather quality was fucking awesome, the cantle is low so it doesn't hit me in the back as I'm jumping or cantering... I lovee it =] My trainer was watching me ride in it and she was just like woww, I have honestly not seen you && Sonny do so well ever before. She LOVED the way I looked in the saddle and the way sonny performed in it. He seemed a LOT happier with it (it prob fit him a lott better) and I definitely LOVEEDDDD the results. So yeah, I'm buying it =] It's originally like 900 or so, and i'm getting it for 400 used, but in good condition which basically makes me reallyyy happy =] haha so YAY saddle hunt is officially over
