So as you know, i've been CRAZZZY sick. I go to classes, id have to say im their physically but not mentally.
I've been into doctors quiet a bit, im on steroids...i've been sick for over a month now!
Im getting MUCH MUCH better!! howeever, its been sooooooooo ahrd with school and being this sick to get out and see Nikita and Gabby.
Im pretty sure Gabby could care less!!
However a w hile ago i got a call from the barn owner saying Nikita is "depressed" she wont eat or drink. So i came over, spent some time with her...she ate that night! she is NOT NOT sick, she just gets this way when she is liek depressed! i know 100% she isnt sick.

ANYWAY, i asked my friend Dani just to hop on her once in a while for a bit since i've been crazy sick and cant get out there. I know my horse better than anny1 and she is her old spunky self when u spend time with her. So apprently Dani was tellin me she cant get Nikita to do anything! she is just droopy and what not...so my mom got on a few days ago, same results. So i went out today and spent time with her and she was just her old spunky self. she perked right up when i called her name, trotted over to me....shooed the other horses away when they came.

Idk, U think she is depressed cuz i havent been around latley? Like does she want ME around or is it just wants to get out more with anyone? i wish horses could talk
Could it just be the weather?!?
i talked to the barn owner and i told her my situation, everyone knows i've been sick and shit like that so Dawn was tellin me that just coming atleast 2 oe 3times a week, weather i ride or not is better than having someone come out and ride her for me.

So good news is, im feeling SO much better. still look like shit, but im going out to ride Nikita bareback in the pasture with snow! Her favorite :-) she is soooo happy after its just us 2 doing that....so ya. idk does anyone have this with their horse?? or is it just like the weather and not being able to get out to pasture (we have like 2/3 ft of snow so horses cant go out to big pasture. they hang out in the small pasture or the indoor walk in)

My cat gets like that! He hates on the whole family and the neighbors if I'm gone. Haha.

Could be! Or It could be laziness, lethargicness(is that a word?) from lack of work?

With Nikita, honestly I don't know -- it could very well be that she misses you, or it could be something completely different. But, I think that you should definitely get out and see her more often--it'd probably make her and you feel a lot better mentally =]

dk she just acting VERY different latley.
She got her feet done today (hooves i should say ) she just seems like so depressed and my friends think im crazy when i say a "horse is depressed"
My farrier watched me ride to see if maybe she was hurting anywhere or w/e and of course when i get on she was full of piss and vinegar and nothing was wrong.

Could just be a combination of things, i just worried cuz its NOT like her to be this quiet.
I've been getting to see her a lil more now that im feeling better so hopefully something works out THanks for not think im crazy for saying "my horse is depressed" like my "non horsey friends" haha!!

So hopefully this will hold up from now on. Doctor said to give meds time to work, and they sure are :-)

Odie is the same way; except when I show up after not being there for a while hes reallly really mad at me. He was mad at me all day yesterday; right until I left after riding.

My dogs get mad at us when we leave them for a while. They are excited too at the same time. hehe
It's good that you're getting to see nikita again. I believe that she misses you, and she could have been a bit depressed because of it.
