Hhaha. I will NEVER give up riding in the hunter/jumper/equitation divisions and I will never make my horse a barrel racer. But I'm going to go with some of kids from my barn to the local barrel shows. I dont expect to place or anything, just a fun get-away from the oh-so-formal english shows, which i LOVE dont get me wrong. I rode on a crazy little horse yesterday and it was sooo much fun. He was PSYCHO. I thought I was going over the fence, running back home he was insaneeeee.
But I'm going to be showing a lot this summer, starting Levi in the baby green hunters & hopefully moving up mid-season. Because of previous USEF shows, I'm going to be showing another horse in Childrens Equitation. And possibly doing a few jumper classes on him too. That horse's name is Buddy. He's awesome. I'm re-schooling him now, because he got wrecked by a few students at the barn. But my friend & I are going to be getting his points up and showing him over the island and maybe even selling him by the end of the summer?
But I think showing a little local barrels will give me more experience to the entire horse world. ;D
