;D
Okay, so I bought Zoey, like I said in the post of her pictures that I updated...
I don't know when we are trailering her back yet for sure. Jackie my new BO is doing it for me for free other than gas, and I am going to be on her schedule. It will be within the week I hope...but I am SOOO excited.
I feel SO connected with this horse. She needs miles really, is all. And work on her transitions. She is really eager to learn and SMART. And extremely patient. And above all, I feel like she isn't above my level of experience, AND I feel like we can create a strong bond.
It might be neat to take her to a non-serious schooling show or such as that when she is a bit older. She is actually more attractive in person than her pictures...
But in any case, time will tell all. I just couldn't let the opportunity pass.
The guy who trained her does reining, ect. He is a nice guy, he worked with us on a lot of stuff. But he is a little too cowboyish for me, and I'm not too sure of his equine knowledge. I guess I "upgraded" her a little too. Zoe has a small head and the english bridle he gave me for her was HUGE on her. Like, I am talking bit almost hanging out of her mouth. He said "It'll be a'ight" but I changed it anyway. And he tried to get me to ride with a LOOSE GIRTH! She is a 38"-40" I suppose and all I had was a 44"...EESH.
Not to mention the 28347293847 feet long split reins I was made to use. I had NO clue what to do with all that rein. I felt SO stupid because I looked like an idiot trying to get on while keeping her from stepping on the things.
I'm rambling. It sucks that now since I pulled a muscle/slipped a disk in my back or something I won't be riding for a few weeks anyway! Of course I wouldn't be riding right off the bat when she got to her new home anyway, but still, it stinks how I'm limited because of my stupid back.
But YAY, I own Zoey! Who cares about my back? ;D
