Hi everyone!
I'm just dropping in to say "hi." Are any of the people I remember are still here?
I've now completed my Freshman year of college, where I managed to still ride but I started learning English. At school we show in the IHSA, where you are assigned a random horse to ride that day. You adjust your stirrups and go into the ring, so its different.
I still have Dixie, but she didn't come to school with me. She stayed in New Jersey giving other people a hard time. I was to take her with me next year, but it all hinges on me getting a car. SO anyway thats whats new with me.
Whats been going on here?

Hey! Welcome back! Glad to hear you're doing well. Did you like the equestrian team? I'm thinking about trying out for my college's eq team next year, but I'm not sure yet. The coach is nasty, so I don't know if I want to put myself through that. lol. Our team kicks butt, though. Are you liking English?

Erin, I'm liking English, I'm not gonna switch over entirely (still love barrels and chasing cows) but its different. I like the team, I'm learning alot. Our coach is a worry wart; she getts nervous about the little thing... she hasn't quite figured out yet that even though I'm a beginner in english, I still know what to do when my horse is feeling frisky, or that I'm comfortable at a gallop. Its actually quite funny.
I'm at Syracuse, so our team isn't varsity, and alot of the teams we ride against are, but we do well considering. We sent a girl to nationals this year. What region is your team in?

Grr...I am mad...my Eq team blows! It was just started this year, and it's pretty much the worse thing on the planet...

Im glad you're liking it! It's great to be able to ride multiple disciplines. Im not sure what region we're in, actually, since I'm not on the team and I couldn't find the info on our site, but the conference we're in is SSAC. We just became a varsity team, and did really well this year. Unfortunately our western team didn't do so hot at semifnals, but our English team went to nationals and apparently won 6th! Is there any chance that ya'll will be going varsity anytime?

No, no varsity. Not at such a big school. they won't take us as varsity unless we have the potential to bring money in, and we don't. But we do compete aganst varsity teams; St lawrence and Alfred, Geneseo
