yesterday i was in one of my night classes for college and i get this text that says velvet sick call asap so i leave class and call and she says she has a 102 temperature and is shivering.. 
. so i left and i came to the barn and nona was walking her. i asked her what was wrong and she said she was down in her stall and it took three of them to get her up and they started walking her to see if she would release some gas, thinking it was colic. well when i was walking her she started feeling wobbly and it felt she was off balance and was going to seriously fall over well we took her temperature and it went up to 102.4. so we called the vet put her in her stall to see if she would go down , she didnt but her head hanging all the way down and she was in the corner. and she had her back feet tucked under her, like she didnt want to put any pressure on them, so finally the vet came temperature went up to 103 and she started having spasms in her shoulders thighs and stomach. the vet gave her banamine and put water in her, cleaned her out from behind and took blood work. gave her some calcium also. i stayed with velvet last night til two in the morning to make sure she was ok. than i went up to the house and got some sleep and my boyfriend wokke me up at 6 so i went down to the barn to check on her and she started acting like her self again. the vet called with the blood results and it came back her white cell count was low, and they didnt know why. so she has too be put on red cell medicine to help her.
i keep checking on her every couple of hours, she still isnt completely herself. i am still worried about her i think there is something worng with her internally.
